We are now back in our third year here and thoroughly enjoy working in Lambourn. The Jockey Club Estates who have taken over the gallops have done a fantastic job and in my opinion there is no better place to train both flat and jump horses.
We would like to welcome all visitors, and hopefully they will be able to see some present and future stars.

Dear Brendan Powell
I am researching what I hope will be a book on the equine heritage of the Blackwater Valley in Co Cork. Part of that story will focus on your links with Mallow and the Duhallow Pony Club.
It would be a great help to me if you would kindly answer the following queries.
Did growing up in Mallow influence your decision to become a jockey?
What are your particular memories of the Duhallow Pony Club? Has your son, Brendan, competed in any pony races in North Cork as he began his own career?
As a matter of interest, I was the Cork Examiner staff reporter in Mallow when you won the Aintree Grand National and can recall the great joy there was in the town.
I also remember speaking with your delighted mother on the telephone that evening. It was a great occasion.
Every good wish for continued success,
Ray Ryan
