Lambourn is a large village set in the Berkshire Downs approximately 60 miles west of London. It is easily accessible from all parts of the country thanks to its location at the axis of the M4 running East/West and the A34 running North/South. (Click on the link above for a detailed UK map)
Swindon lies about 10 miles to the west and Newbury 13 miles to the south east.
Main line rail services (time table) provide regular Intercity and local trains to Didcot and Newbury from London, Paddington.
Heathrow airport is 1 hour away on the M4 motorway.

DIRECTIONS TO LAMBOURN FROM M40 SOUTHBOUND.
- Take Oxford, A34 junction off the M40 and continue south towards Newbury. As you pass Oxford, take the left turn sign-posted to A420 and Swindon up to a roundabout. Follow the A420/Swindon road past Besselsleigh College and at the big roundabout, take the left turn to Wantage, A338. Coming into Wantage you pass a Unigate Dairy on the right and at the next roundabout turn right. Then turn left at the next roundabout and drive through the housing estate going straight over three mini roundabouts.
- Go straight over the next two roundabouts, which are close together and follow signs to Childrey/Challow and Lambourn. At the T-junction turn right, also to Childrey/Challow and Lambourn. At the next T-junction after about two miles, turn left to Lambourn. There is a very sharp, 90* bend right after about 1/2 a mile followed by a long climb uphill, then a sharp bend left. Continue on this road down into Lambourn village.
DIRECTIONS TO LAMBOURN FROM M4, JUNCTION 14.
- From the roundabout at J14, head north on A338 towards Wantage.
- After only 400 yards, take the left turn on B4000 to Lambourn and Baydon past Pheasant pub.
- After 4 - 5 miles the road runs downhill to The Hare pub on the left.
- Turn right opposite the pub, signposted to Lambourn.
- Continue past Kingwood Stud down the long, steep hill into Lambourn.
DIRECTIONS TO LAMBOURN FROM A34 NORTHBOUND
- From the A34 take the exit off the dual carriageway signposted A4 Hungerford / Newbury. Take the third exit off the roundabout on to the B4000 to Lambourn. After several miles you will drive through the village of Wickham and then on to a T junction with the A338. Turn left and first right, continuing on the B4000 to Lambourn and Baydon past the Pheasant pub.
- After 4 - 5 miles the road runs downhill to The Hare pub on the left. Turn right opposite the pub, signposted to Lambourn.
- Drive past Kingwood Stud and Stables on the left and continue down the long, steep hill into the village.
